Business Vision vs. Technology Delivery (OPNS-919-B)
0.50 Credit

Description:

This course counts toward the following majors: Operations.

How does a firm translate a business vision, which may rely on technology, into a working system and business process? What investment policies will guide an organization to eliminate wasteful technology spending, and how does a leader effectively communicate those policies? This course provides a framework to address these management issues. By defining business vision in terms of required technology components, students will learn to create common terminology for business and technology leaders, reducing miscommunication and leading to a roadmap by which all business and technology investments can be evaluated.
